Meet our team

Tamara A. Beyer DVM

Dr. Beyer is a Racine native and 1990 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. After working in Milwaukee for 6 1/2 years, Dr. Beyer and her husband Jeff purchased Beechwood Veterinary Clinic in January 1997. Over the years, the clinic has grown from the original three employees to our current size. Dr. Beyer has a special interest in dermatology, has published articles in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, taught a class in Business Practices at the Veterinary School and also has done a radio show for a local station. She and Jeff have two sons and two dogs. In her spare time, Dr. Beyer can be found driving the Beyer Bus to sporting events, crocheting while cheering on the Badgers and Packers, searching for ideas on Pinterest and trying (in vain) to get caught up on her scrapbooking.

Rachel Muur DVM

Dr.Muur grew up in Morrison, IL. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from West Virginia University in 2009. She then received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 2014. Following graduation, she completed an internship program focused on internal medicine, surgery, emergency and critical care in Louisville, KY. Her professional areas of interest include internal medicine, preventative medicine and dermatology.

She and her husband, Tanner, have one son, Lucas. When she is not at work, she likes to hike, bake and spend time with her Pointers, Bruce and Zoe. At home she loves to watch movies snuggled next to her handsome tuxedo cat, Simon.

My name is Julie and I've been a receptionist with Beechwood Vet Clinic since August of 2002. I have been working in the veterinary field for over 30 years - since I graduated from high school. (WOW - that's a long time huh?) I have a Long Haired Dachshund "Hudson". My husband and I live in Racine, we have 3 grown children and 2 grandsons. My hobbies include gardening, snowmobiling, fishing, spending time at our place up north and selling Gold Canyon Candles.

My name is Jennifer and I've worked at Beechwood Vet Clinic since 1999. I have been in the veterinary field since 1993. As a licensed Veterinary Technician, my responsibilities include drawing blood samples, giving vaccinations, assisting in surgery and helping clients with behavioral and weight management issues with their pets. My husband and I own Labrador Retrievers. I enjoy going to dog shows, obedience trials and hunt tests. We have earned many titles. My other hobbies include hunting, fishing and scrapbooking.

Hi, my name is Tracey. Since September 2004 I have been a receptionist at Beechwood Vet Clinic and I love it!! Prior to working here my background was in the animal shelter field with animal rescue, placement and temperament testing. I was born and raised in Racine. I have many little critters that share my life. My dog Lilly, turtles, fish, birds and reptiles. I am also a published author, amateur photographer and artist.

Hi! My name is Kayla. I have been in the veterinary business since I was 14 years old. I started at a humane society and worked my way up to the emergency field where I spent the last 7 years as an ER ICU nurse. I have now settled into the day practice life where I am able to develop a client/patient relationship, which has been rewarding! I love educating clients about preventative medicine and how they can help to keep their pets healthy longer. I look forward to meeting you and your four legged friend and answering any and all questions you may have.

My name is Kim. I've been at Beechwood Vet Clinic since January 2014. I am a Ceritified Veterinary Technician. I relocated from the Madison area earlier this year. In my spare time I like to go camping and ride my motorcycle. I currently have a tortoise at home named Rasputin.
